Lira Nikolovska is User Experience Architect at Autodesk. She specializes in strategic design. Her current research and design work focuses on crafting the User Experience vision for the next generation digital tools in the context of BIM and parametric environments. She was the design lead for Revit divided surface (surface rationalization), surface panelization, adaptive components, reporting parameters, in-canvas manipulation of labeled (parameter) dimensions, repeat / divide etc.
Lira holds Ph.D. in Design and Computation from MIT Architecture. She curated the SIGGRAPH 2008 Design and Computation gallery, was a Chair of SIGGRAPH 2010 Art Papers and Chair of 2012 Symposium on Simulation in Architecture and Urban Design (SimAUD). She taught at RISD and was a Senior Interaction Designer at the Strategic Design department at Philips Design. Lira holds 17 patents in multimedia information retrieval and user profiling received while at Philips Research and Philips Design.
