Kem-Laurin Kramer is a Product Design Manager for the Media & Entertainment Product Design and Development team in Toronto. She is a User Experience Strategist and Designer focused on the core user experience delivery for Autodesk’s cloud and mobile offerings. She has a wide working knowledge of a number of market spaces including mobile user experience, web design, logistics & assembly; energy & automation, postal automation, and medical imaging & health information systems to name a few.
Prior to joining Autodesk, she worked as a pioneer of formal user experience research practice at Research in Motion, makers of the Blackberry. She grew the team from its inception and subsequently managed the user experience for Blackberry Media apps. She also worked as a consultant at CSDC, where she drove the company’s first user experience effort. She is author of User Experience in the Age of Sustainability: A Practitioner’s Blueprint and a sought-after speaker in the space of designing sustainable user experiences in software and product design. She has her Masters from the University of Waterloo in the area of Language Rhetoric and Communication in the stream of Digital Arts Communications. In her spare time, you can find her at home with her two young boys or weeding her seven perennial gardens – two of her passions.
