Karen Mason is an interaction designer for AutoCAD in the PSEB division (Platform Solutions and Emerging Business) of Autodesk in San Rafael, CA. She joined the AutoCAD design team in 2006 and previously tested AutoCAD for 8 releases (learning its design patterns). Prior to joining Autodesk in 1996, she used AutoCAD to design offices, medical facilities, banks and restaurants in several states. She has an Associate’s degree in Graphic Design and a BFA in Interior Design from the University of Massachusetts in Amherst. She was one of the first students to use CAD (Computer Aided Design) to complete her final thesis project.
