Melissa Schmidt manages the stellar User
Research team for the AutoCAD Product Line Group. She is passionate about
bringing customers to the center of the software development process, and
measuring success through clear, impactful metrics. Before she was a manager,
Melissa was a user researcher for AutoCAD and emerging products for several
years. She has worked in UX for over 15 years on desktop, web and mobile
products. She holds a BA in Cognitive Science from UC Berkeley and a PhD in
Computer Science from CU Boulder. When she's not in the office, Melissa is
usually chasing around her 2-year old son, or planning their next family trip.
